Adam Cook
is a movie critic, curator and scholar. His work has been published in Cinema Scope, MUBI, The New York Times, The Globe and Mail, and his Substack, Long Voyage Home, among other outlets. Cook has curated programmes for various cinemas and organizations, including TIFF Cinematheque, Hot Docs, Northwest Film Forum, VIFF, and Doclisboa. His doctoral research at Queen’s University centers the aesthetic evaluation of movies around the construction of cinematic viewpoints.
Hilary Jay
is a PhD candidate in the Department of Film and Media at Queen’s University. Her research is on Aristotle and contemporary aesthetics. Hilary is also the lab manager of the Vulnerable Media Lab where she works on film restoration and archival practices.
