<div><b>FREE SCREENING! </b>Hosted by the <a href="https://www.screeningroomkingston.com/csok">Cinema Society of Kingston</a>, this one-night-only screening of the cult classic <i>Jennifer's Body</i> will feature a special introduction by Dr. Dan Vena of the Queen's Film & Media department. Drawing from his latest book, <i><a href="https://www.rutgersuniversitypress.org/no-more-chainsaws/9781978824294">No More Chainsaws: Feminist Criticism and the New Wave of Women's Horror Cinema</a></i> (now available from Rutgers University Press), Dr. Vena will be speaking to the film's place in a new wave of contemporary horror films which address issues of identity, sexuality, trauma, and monstrosity from women’s perspectives. </div><div><br></div><div><b>About the Film:</b><br><span style="font-size: 14px;">When a demon takes possession of her, high-school cheerleader Jennifer (Megan Fox) turns a hungry eye on guys who never stood a chance with her before.
