Hotseat is a screening series of experimental video work from the legendary Vtape catalogue. Sessions were prepared by curators from Queen’s Screen Cultures & Curatorial Studies program. Sunday April 19th programming: "On Rites of Resistance" (curated by Vincent E. and Geoffrey Webster): “On Rites of Resistance” advocates for the right to remain misunderstood, rejecting colonial demands for full transparency. It conceptualizes resistance as a practice of interconnectedness, necessary for shared survival. Featuring works by Theo J. Cuthand, Mahlet Cuff, Amanda Strong, Rana Nazzal Hamadeh, Charles Officer, Rouzbeh Akhbari, Felix Kalmenson, and Donna James.
