Hotseat: Works from the Vtape catalogue - April 19

Hotseat is a screening series of experimental video work from the legendary Vtape catalogue. Sessions were prepared by curators from Queen’s Screen Cultures & Curatorial Studies program. The series is supported by <strong>Queen’s Film & Media, Vtape, The Cinema Society of Kingston</strong> and the <strong>Besides the Screen</strong> network. It conceptualizes resistance as a practice of interconnectedness, necessary for shared survival. Featuring works by Theo J. Cuthand, Mahlet Cuff, Amanda Strong, Rana Nazzal Hamadeh, Charles Officer, Rouzbeh Akhbari, Felix Kalmenson, and Donna James.  "Maskwa" (curated by Sasza Hinton): Your body will tell you what it needs. A breath. A rest. A meal. But you've silenced these needs for so long, how can you recognize what they are anymore? To eat? To sleep? To breath? We must recognize these signs to survive. Do you want to survive?
