This collection of works is a reconnaissance of American warmongering conducted by elite units known as video artists. They provide a study of how the technes of surveillance, kinetic engagement, and image management deployed abroad can themselves be repurposed in closer locales. Whether it’s the divide of the Iron Curtain or the 49th Parallel, the works trace a brief emotional history of Canadian complicity in the Cold War and the Forever War, finishing with an excavation of how direct action can be remediated and diffused through televisual instruments. Featuring works by Stephen Andrews, Susan Britton, Benny Nemer, and Cornelia Wyngaarden.PT2H10MNot Rated2026-04-18Hotseat: Works from the Vtape catalogue - April 18"Hotseat: Works from the Vtape catalogue - April 18"Showtimes
